Montessori Childcare Taringa is a small long day care centre located in Taringa which offers your child the opportunity to develop at their own pace in a stimulating and caring environment where your child can feel safe and have fun. Our centre boasts two very well equipped classrooms including computers, 2 wonderful playgrounds featuring 2 different types of sandpits, swings, a climbing fort, herb plot, grassed running areas and a covered eating area in natural shady gardens of established native trees. We are quite unique in the fact the we offer a 1:7 teacher child ratio, one of the lowest in Queensland, in both of our fully reverse-cycle air conditioned classrooms. In addition to running a Montessori programme, our centre also provides specialist classes such as music and a computer gym where children get the opportunity to attend in small groups and participate in activities. Enrolling Enrolling your child/children is a simple process at out centre. Simply review our website, fill out the enrolment enquiry form and we will then contact you to assist with your enrolment. Alternatively, you can give us a call on (07) 3378 4269 with any enquiries that you may have. What is Montessori? If you’re new to the Montessori method of education don’t worry! Many of our parents have never heard of Montessori before and are genuinely impressed with the progress that their children make at our centre. Please read the Montessori Questions and Answers page to help you with any queries that you may have. In a nutshell though, the Montessori method is all about encouraging learning through independent discovery. The More About Montessori page shows an example of some of the differences between a Montessori classroom and a non-Montessori classroom, as well as some of the activities, tools and environments that our centre has developed.
